📜 Written Lesson 3: Let the Lie Fall Apart

Why This Matters:

So much of our struggle isn’t with life itself — it’s with the image we think we have to protect. As Tiger says:

“What we're so afraid of losing is the lie we hide behind.”

The fear isn't just about failure or judgment — it's about what happens if we stop pretending. If we stop hiding. This is why the heart can’t breathe: it’s suffocating under the weight of who you think you have to be. And unless you face the lie, you can’t live what's true.

Example: You Built the Brand, But It’s Not You Anymore

You've spent years creating a persona that people trust — the guide, the mentor, the clear one. But now, when you sit down to create, you feel heavy. Nothing flows. You edit yourself before you speak. You're afraid to disappoint the very people who look up to you. Tiger says, “You're protecting this image of yourself that is a lie.” And it’s killing your creativity — and your joy.

Example: The Quiet Performance in Your Marriage

You say the right things. You show up. You do your best to keep the peace. But there’s a part of you that feels like it’s watching your life from behind glass. You’re afraid to say what you really want — afraid of rocking the foundation. And yet, a voice inside whispers:

“I wish I could just be honest. I wish I could enjoy my life.”

This is why the heart feels trapped. Because the truth is asking to be heard.

Example: The Lie That You're Not Ready

You’ve been feeling the pull — to launch, to speak, to move — but fear keeps shouting excuses. “It’s not the right time.” “You’ll look stupid.” “It’s not safe.” But underneath all those excuses is the real story: you’re scared to be seen for who you really are. Tiger calls it out: “Love expands into the fearful.” Your fear isn’t the enemy — it’s the doorway.

Reflection Questions

  • What part of your life feels like it’s being held together by a version of you that no longer feels real?
  • Where are you avoiding the truth — not because it’s unclear, but because it feels dangerous?
  • What might become possible if you stopped protecting the lie and let yourself be seen?
