Please understand, I don't want to give the impression that it's somehow easy to accomplish all of this. Yet, at the same time, as with all things, it can be easier than we tend to make it out to be.

It's my personal conclusion that the journey of being human is hard in both directions. It's hard to learn and grow, and it's a hard life if you don't learn and grow. The opportunity is to consciously choose your direction of "hard." Choose something that is both a worthy challenge and will add value to your life and the people around you. If you do not choose, if you do not make this heart-based and conscious decision for your life, then life will still be hard and it will move in the opposite direction of where you'd like to go.

Avoiding what you fear creates a life full of fear. Facing what you fear is challenging, but it presents an opportunity to move beyond that fear and connect with more love.

My recommendation for those who are ready to consciously choose a worthwhile adventure is to surround themselves with others who do the same. Similarly, reduce your exposure to people who choose the opposite. Organize and schedule your life to include dedicated time for learning and growth, and find a creative outlet to share what you learn.

If this helps at all, here's the advice I’d give a younger version of myself.

  • Find something that deeply interests you and learn as much about it as you can. Use what you learn to improve your quality of life. In two years, you can help others who are just starting to learn about that thing. They will pay you to help them learn what you did, but in less time and with more focus.

  • First, learn it, then get personal evidence of success using it, and finally develop a system or offering that helps other people receive the same value.

  • Also, because there are thousands, maybe millions, of people around the world who would also be interested in that thing, it gives you a lot of leverage to make way more money than you'll ever make at a job.

  • In whatever you choose as the support you're going to offer, imagine that you're just helping a younger version of yourself who's just getting started. You could help that younger version get through the blocks and traps so much faster and offer the perfect encouragement for the challenges you know you're going to have.

You got this 💪
